Who we are

Hookseek is an agentic AI firm that builds and deploys AI systems inside enterprises and government entities. For the purposes of data protection law, Hookseek is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, except where we act as a processor on behalf of a client under a separate Data Processing Agreement.

Registered entity, trading address, and any data protection representative details are set out at [entity / address].

Information we collect

Information you provide directly. This includes your name, work email, company, role, and the content of any message when you contact us, request a proposal, book a call, or subscribe to updates.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, and referring URLs, through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.

Information from engagements. Where we deliver services, we may process data that resides within your systems. In that context we act strictly as your processor, under a separate Data Processing Agreement and on your documented instructions, and this website policy does not govern that processing.

We do not knowingly collect special category (sensitive) personal data through the website, and we ask that you do not send it to us through web forms or email.

How we use information

We use personal data to respond to enquiries and provide requested information; to schedule, scope, and run engagements; to deliver, secure, maintain, and improve our services and website; to send updates and communications you have asked for; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and to comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Legal bases for processing

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent (for example, to receive marketing updates); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and growing our business, balanced against your rights; and compliance with a legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work and, where permitted, analytics cookies to understand and improve how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser and any consent banner shown. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Marketing communications

If you subscribe or ask to hear from us, we may send occasional updates about our work and services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and scheduling), with professional advisers, where required by law or regulation, to protect our rights or safety, and as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. All providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations and may only use the data to provide services to us.

International transfers

Hookseek operates across multiple locations, so personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent mechanisms, together with supplementary measures where needed.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or to resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including access controls, encryption in transit, and logging. For sovereign and on-prem engagements, data can remain entirely within your infrastructure and never reach our systems.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any right, contact us at hello@hookseek.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to read their own privacy notices.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and public bodies and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
